If you read our youngest's blog, you know how special this "pawk" is to our children. Now it is also very special to our grandchildren, who love the swings especially. Yesterday and today, it came down to make room for more parking, and hopefully, a new structure. Here it is in mid-deconstruction. By noon of the same day, the swing frame and ducks were gone as well. They truly have paved paradise, and put up a parking lot! I hope all the soccer players and parents appreciate it.
Find something about which you are passionate, and then live your life showing it.

Daisy, daisy, give me your answer true...
All three of our children get quite philosophical on their blogs, and I must admit, I have gone there a few times myself. Looking at these pictures, it is hard not to be both philosophical and nostalgic. How can it be about 30 years since this little girl's mother was out among the daisies, making crowns and enjoying life? This little one is such a delight, so generous with her hugs and cuddles, that she makes any day fun. The consensus is that she looks at this stage more like her auntie than her mom, but she shares her mom's sweet nature (and her mom's very well-developed sense of justice!). Thanks for brightening my day, Sweet Girl, (and Mr. Trooper too!).

With apologies to David Letterman
I have now completed half my treatments (3 of 6),so to mark that accomplishment, I have created this list of positives about treatment. Here they are - (I obviously have too much time on my hands!)
BB's Top Ten Reasons why it is good to have Treatment in the Summer:
10. When I don't feel well I am not missing anything good on T.V. because the shows are all reruns (and I have them on the PVR already).
9. I have a really good excuse for not keeping all the weeds pulled.
8. Everyone tells me how good I look, because I look better than they thought I would.
7. I can drink all the chocolate milk I want without feeling guilty .
6. I am guaranteed at least a few more weeks with no one expecting anything from me.
5. I should be able to swim faster because, without hair, there is less resistance in the water. (haven't tested this one out yet!)
4. My scalp doesn't get too cold, because it is summer, and summer hats are fashionable.
3. I am saving money on shampoo and hair cuts (sorry Cass!).
2. I have a great opportunity to extend my freckles to include my scalp.
And the number one reason why it is good to have treatment in the summer...
1. I DON'T HAVE TO SHAVE MY LEGS ALL SUMMER!!!!

Girls' morning out
So, Wednesday morning big brother was off on an all day field trip to the farm, and mom went to have fun too, so little sister and grandma decided to meet one of grandma's friends for coffee (i.e. donuts). What I learned is that she LOVES to go out for coffee, as long as baby and bear are there too. She quickly forgot that mom and brother had left, and had fun eating, playing in the almost empty kids' area, and helping grandma shop for a few things. She wasn't quite as wild about Grandma's friend, but did allow her to take her hand while walking in the mall. Quite fun - we will have to do it again!
Oh yes, once we got home we went directly to the "Pawk" (I think that is how I would spell what she says). She missed big brother, and told me over and over that the next swing was for him. Once he came home, he joined her for big swings, pushes from Grandpa, and naming everyone they both knew, including cartoon characters only Grandpa remembers.
