Meeting of the Generations

Great Grandmother (Grammy) met great grand daughter yesterday  for the first time.  She (the child) was quite content to stay swaddled and to be rocked and cuddled by her maternal great grandmother.  I can't quite imagine what it must feel like to meet and get to know your children's children's children.  This makes number 7 for this great ! What a blessing to be in this position, for both of them!

Welcome New Baby Addison Audrey Clare

After a week or so of drama, Addison (Addy) Audrey Clare decided to make her entrance.  She weighed in at 7 lbs. 2 oz., 20 inches long, and has a full head of dark hair.  What a great looking family!

And the big brother got to go out for lunch after checking out the new family member.

Good Friends, Good Times

 We spent a lovely evening catching up with good friends who have been away down south since early January.  It was great to see them, and to wish one of them a very happy birthday!

And also this week we had the opportunity to head northeast to a quiet lake.  Although the weather was drizzly, we were warm and very comfortable in their newly renovated cottage.  New (to us anyway) windows...

New spacious guest bedrooms, and large new bathroom (not pictured yet)...

Renovated kitchen with lovely large appliances.  Great oven for creating smoke!  We know the smoke detectors work!

All in all a lovely place to spend relaxing times, kayaking, taking pictures, walking, gardening, and entertaining friends and relatives.  Thanks for a lovely couple of days.  We promise to be back soon if you will have us (and if we promise not to break anything else!)
