So...Grandma and Grandpa went to Minneapolis to celebrate Grandpa's birthday by going to see the Yankees play the Twins, and going to a musical. The Yankees won the first game we saw, and lost the second. In all they split the four-game series. One of the neatest things we saw happened after the Sunday afternoon game. All the kids and parents met T.D., the mascot, walked around the field, and then the kids each took a turn running the bases. Must be a tradition, because everyone took part! Our kids would have loved that in earlier games we attended (when they were actually kids!)

Can you find Grandpa in the crowd? He's there, honest! Grandma took this picture from across the stadium while on one of her walks!
Some of the action. We would have enjoyed an outdoor game on Sunday - it was a glorious day! We saw the location for the new stadium when we went to Hennepin for the play. It is right behind the Target Centre.

And now for a bit of "culture"....Spamalot! It was a ton of fun! Grandma even laughed at the jokes (and knew some of the bits). Great music and lots of energy.
