It is definitely September now. The sun is hot, hot, hot while it's out, but as soon as a cloud comes by the chill fills the air. We are down to single digits in the night - soon I will be covering the tomatoes. Speaking of gardens, who knew one zucchini plant would yield so many zucchinis? Next year it is going in a different spot, so that the carrots have a chance.
Last Sunday we went out to the "family cottage" (how lovely to have people in the family who have a cottage) to see the renovations, and to just relax. Seems as though we haven't done much of that this summer. Here the boy is in his "To Infinity and Beyond" pjs, mesmorized as always by a movie (this one was Veggie Tales).
Just hangin' out with Grandpa. This young lady will be one soon! Hard to believe. (It's her champagne birthday. I wonder if she will get champagne)
From an earlier visit. This was a hot day all day. What a difference a couple of weeks can make.
Enjoying one of mom's blueberry popsicles. These things keep you regular!
Not really asleep - just pretending. They do love their boat rides. What the young man loves even more is driving fast and chasing the birds!
And so, we say farewell to another summer. This one wasn't quite what we had thought it would be! On to new adventures. Stay tuned!
