While not a bright sunny day, at least the showers that were forecast did not materialize. The young man's family gathered at his church for his dedication ceremony, and at his home for lunch afterward. (Cake courtesy of out of town grandma. Gorgeous!)
For those of us accustomed to baptism, a dedication ceremony is a little different. However the words spoken and the promises made by the parents are very similar.
He seems to be saying, "Please quit talking and give me back to my mom and dad!"
"Yay, a baby mum mum and water now that my part is over!"
Lunch on Clarence Road was spectacular as always. I do love that island!
Guests included six young boys and one lone girl. She holds her own, however, especially when it comes to eating cake!
"Auntie, I do love pulling on your nose, and ears, and mouth, and hair."
Some exercise in between times of play (and a bit of forced distance from cousins!)
The two great grandmothers catch up on the latest news.
Grandpa and two of his five.
This is by far the favourite activity of today's star. Never too young to work on your vertical.
